Fire & Security Fire Alarms Fire alarm systems and associated accessories should be regularly tested by the building occupant on a weekly basis, and this should be supported by an interim visit from an engineer. For most customers we attend site each quarter, for some only once a year. On our annual visit to site, we will test every call point, detector and smoke head on the system. Owning our own access equipment allows us to carry out maintenance on high level equipment (such as warehouse roofs), where regular cleaning of the detector heads can reduce overall problems in the summer months due to false alarms. Any remedial works are notified in writing after the testing has completed, and we issue a certificate to you to record the details of the testing. Emergency Lighting On a similar kind of service, we perform annual and quarterley maintenance of emergency lighting systems within buildings. We perform a short 1 hour test on a normal visit and a 3 hour (or rated discharge test) on an annual visit. We also monitor the interior of the building and can offer advise where levels of emergency and escape lighting are low or missing when office or warehouse changes can happen. Security We can offer advise relating to general security systems, although we specialise in the Honeywell / Admeco Galaxy series of alarm system, as used by the major security installers. If you are experiencing a lot of false call outs or simply have a badly designed, installer or maintained system we can help. Remote Monitoring We install custom monitoring systems for remote plant and buildings where you need instant notification of a faliure or unauthorised entrance. Our systems operate on a GSM Mobile network and can notify up to five people by call or text message when a faliure occurs. We have some units linked to out 24 Hour call out facility and an engineer will immediately attend. Construction Our construction team can assist with improving building fabric security with the installation of steel door, barriers, gates and fences etc. |
