We became involved with Air Conditioning many years ago, since leaving school. It is not an easy trade to learn and most of the information that you require to be trained as an Air Conditioning Engineer is hard to come by and sometimes seems a closely guarded secret almost like the dark arts. We have installed equipment from many companies over the last fifteen years and we have decided to stick with Hitachi, LG, Daikin and Fujitsu Air Conditioning units which are in our mind the best equipment available in the world. Installation is fairly straight forward although a visit to site sometimes helps to decide on the best place to install the equipment, calculate the correct rating for the equipment and to look at how the equipment would be installed. We would normally mount the outdoor and indoor units to a secure fixing first, then concentrate on installing the copper pipe work and insulation between the units. This gives more time for the Nitrogen to sit in the pipe work and to allow the pressure test more time. Most problems occur with others not giving time for this pressure test. This pressure test is the most important part of the installation process. When the Nitrogen is taken out and the refrigerant is installed, if it leaks the compressor will most probably seize up and destroy the system, not what our customers would like with a brand new air conditioning system. Once the interconnecting cabling has been installed and the system commissioned then you will receive the benefit of cold air in the summer and warm air in the winter assuming you had the heat pump option. All of our engineers are of course fully trained and hold the required safe handling of refrigerant certificate. We are already registered with REFCON for the F-Gas scheme. We also specialise in air conditioning repair for customers and our team is quick and accurate at fault finding equipment and making a speedy repair. We will work on many makes of units especially Hitachi, LG, Daikin, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Sanyo and Mitsubishi.
